Seon and I got to Ft. Bragg Thursday afternoon, checked the lay of the land, launched the boat, put the motor home in it’s “spot” and went out to do a little fishing. We trolled a couple hours with no luck and decided to get a few rockies. Found a fishy looking spot and quickly scored a few decent size blues.
Friday we followed FT. Bragger and crew out to Thursday’s “hot” area. The weather and seas were not like glass but almost

Seon and I could only get 3 drive by’s. after some time we tried the rockies another shot but we had the

real bad. After we tried a few area’s we called it a day, went back to camp, straightened up the boat. Talked to a few fellow fisherman and women, took a shower and discussed our plan of attack for the next day.
Saturday they were calling for small craft warnings, but when we got up there was no wind to speak of, so we gave it a shot. It was lumpy going out, went to the whistle buoy went to the right and dropped the lines in down to 50-60 ft. nobody home. We were in 200 +ft. of H2 O, so I dropped down to 150 ft., and with in a few minutes got hit. Fish on! In the box it goes. Seon drops down in a few minutes he’s on, a nice fish. I clear the deck, grab the net, fall on my butt, and after a nice fight in the net it goes

After some high 5s back to fishing, a few more good hits with no stick the mishaps start off. In a turn my DR line hit’s the prop. (we were using the main engine because of the weather) it cut the line. One DR weight to the bottom. Seon remains composed, puts a new end on the cable, back into business ,Thanks Seon! Then Seon, using a WMA gets hit, I grab the wheel, watching the turn and the swell, Seon said there is weight, but no head shake, well he must had my line because the other DR line goes into the prop, this time it kills the motor. Now What! Again Seon with his level head decides to head in using kicker.
We called it and packed up and headed home with some pink and rockies and some repairs to make.
Thanks again Seon!
