3 of us went sharkin and had a good ol time especially my buddy who got 2 @53" & about 25 lbs 1 was a leopard & the other was a 7 gill, he brought in 12-15 + 1 ray using sardines. My cousin mainly used Squid and he brought in half a dozen or so. I was searching for that monster I d be afraid to land for most of the day, I was using a large fillet of Tilapia with no luck. So after a while of landing everones shark I fianlly swapped over to sardine/Squid combo and took 4 ish nothing to impressive. Wed we tried T.I. in the morning and only caught 2 so by noonish we packed up went back to south bay. The action was a little slower but *we did catch a few with a smaller fillet of tillapia being the main bait.http://img174.imageshack.us/img174/3324/jeffs53inleopard1eh5.jpg

Good looking fish... now that I can see it thanks to trout terminator. ;) Never caught one before but I'll bet it's a hoot having one of those on the end of the line.

I'm not sure what a tipila is but if you want a big shark use a filt of a sand shark or croaker

Thanks for the shark report. My favorite big shark bait is squid with pink fish meat.

Great report! Chunky lil bugger. Good ol combo platter for bait.
Is that a wire sturgeon leader with two hooks?
