Got up early and decided to take up 88 to look at the West Carson. The last few days has seen lots of thunder showers in the area and wanted to see how this effected the river. Arrived at the 89 bridge at 0600. Fished just upstream for a couple of hours got one nice fish in the 4# class and lost a couple others. Moved down below the bridge and managed one more. Next moved to the Sorensen's Bridge and managed 3 more among the rocks including a nice 5# fish. My best bow so far this year. Headed back home with a couple more stops with no fish. The river is definitely higher then a couple of weeks ago and the water is off color. Glad to see this.

Nice lookin' fish Captin! Funny thing is, I was going to send you a pm last night and ask how long you think the Carson would be fishable.

Asked and answered. Fish downstream from the bridges in among the rocks.

Hello Captain,

Beautiful fish!

We drove through Markleeville on 8/3 & went to Carson Valley to pick up groceries, milk, bread etc for the rest of our trip. Groceries are very $$$ in Bridgeport!

I will be up in Arnold tomorrow, just might have to go over the pass and head that away. While Lake Alpine, and Ebbetts waters would be closer, that's a darned good report! Thanks for the continued up to date coverage! Bob
