It is now official Vic’s Custom Rods now picking up all rod and reel repairs at Hi’s Tackle Box. We will be picking up and drop off all repairs every Saturday. Or you can call Victor and schedule a time to drop off your reel or rod at our shop if you are located closer to the Martinez area. If you have any questions please contact Victor at (707)430-3941.

Just wanted to post a message giving kudos to Vic's Rod and Reel repair. A few weeks ago I sent my two Shimano Tekota 300 LC reels to Vic for cleaning and installing new drag bushings. The reels were returned looking like new and what a job he did. I highly recommend Vic's service.....a very friendly and informative person that knows his business!

Sounds like a great service! I need a rod repaired with three new guides, anybody more local to Sacramento? I rarely get to the bay area.

I stopped by the shop yesterday to have a rod tip repaired. Vic finished it while I waited and did a great job. Thanks Vic!

How much to fix a snapped tip about 2-3 inches down? Just a ballpark would be great. I just have a bunch of cheap (but beloved) rods to get fixed, but I am wondering if its worth it.

I won't quote Vic's prices but it's very economical...I've had a few done already
