Those swells look safe.
I just read Bodega Wx for Sunday that calls for 5 @ 12 seconds thats very do-able but with great caution in smaller boats. -

I use Salmon and/or Rock fish carcasses and head and a small container of squid. Anchovies also works well. Any oily fish will work as bait.

Try to drop away from Rockfishing beaten path that may attract poachers and your rope has 20% extra length to allow for big swells and your pots have at least 15# weights. You've selected good bait. ...
