    Re: New California law

In hindsight, I must have been way ahead of the politicians as we did bring home roadkill one time. My father and his friends started hunting out of Madeline, CA after the war in the late 40's. In...

    Re: New California law

That's what I was thinking WD. We need to try a part time legislature, maybe 6 months in session every other year. Even if that didn't force them to focus on our serious problems, it would give them...

I forgot about LeeRoy's Ramblings, lots of good info there for sure.
  5. Re: Replacing the impeller on a 1987 Johnson 2 stroke, tips for a newbie?

I have the OEM manual for my 84, if you run into any issues I can scan some pages and e-mail them if the need arises.
  6. Re: Replacing the impeller on a 1987 Johnson 2 stroke, tips for a newbie?

I have an 84 9.9 and like Whoopbass says, it's fairly straight forward. I like to clamp the lower unit up between a couple of saw horses for convenience while changing the impeller. Since this motor...

    Re: Trailer brakes not engaging

I'm hardly an expert on brakes but I don't think the wrong master cylinder would keep the brakes from activating but it might prevent them from releasing properly. When you're bleeding the brakes you...

Re: Knott trailer hub - sealed bearings

I had the same experience with those hubs. 20 years on a salt water trailer and they never leaked a drop and the oil always came out clean the few times I drained it.
