Re: Fishing forums a thing of the past??

Ideas on open FB pages? I still like to check in here now and then, but some FB alternatives would be good too.

    Re: Pump house Stripers

Always loved that bait store. He once let me have some midshipmen for sharks on my promise that I would send him a check when I got home.
    Sounds like a great day.

Re: Report from the last couple of weekends

First, WOW! Great fish. Outstanding trips. Good call on that stretch of water; flooded yet out of the massive outflow enough to fish. I was going to wait , but I am now I have an itch.

    Re: American tips

It's my understanding that the various "bars" tend to have a historical significance and a story. There was some limited hydraulic mining done at SB. Extensive dredge mining all along the American...

Re: Steelhead returns on the American

Been walking down there lately as well. Lots of gulls, vultures and crows feasting on the salmon carcasses now. A bit stinky for sure, but good to see the fish in.

Fished the Napa river and SPB last Saturday aboard the Predator out of Vallejo. Chilly conditions but no rain. I thought for sure the bite would be on since a low pressure system was in. Fished up...

Re: Sturgeon in Montezuma around Beldons

I saw your post in the striper section; I am not much help there. I will say this is an example of what people are talking about when they refer to baits that both sturgeon and striper like. E.g...

You may want to check out 7th street pier which is a short ride in Oakland. Small octagon by the port. I have caught shark there, and hear it can be good for mackerel etc. Do a google search and you...

Re: Kind of like fishing at a landfill

    Sad, isn't it.
The big flows will come this winter and flush it all out. Then it will be in the delta and ocean waters. Only to have the cycle repeat itself.
