Re: Sacramento Boat Show - 2015

    Sounds like a nice ride.

I couldn't believe how expensive some of the boats are getting to be. $120K for a ski boat and same for some pontoons. $60 to 80 grand seemed to be the going price for...

+1 on the Lockeford sausage. All are good but the bangers are to die for.

    Re: Cabo recommendations

For panga fishing, Gordo Banks Sportfishing is tops. Eric and team will show you a good time and have the best kept fleet out of San Jose. Some of the other fleets there are pretty ragged.

    Out...

    Re: Kinda nifty

My North Dakota cousin has one that is about 10 X 15. Propane heat, couch, 55" TV with satellite, generator and picture window. Nice place to watch football and drink beer. Not self propelled...

    Re: older

Talking to myself doesn't concern me
Answering myself even seems pretty normal
But now that I find myself asking "What did you say?" I'm starting to worry.

    Re: Lure Tape?

I use lure tape all the time to modify my lures as well as my flashers and dodgers. I have one that I made red gill slits and blue sides that is a killer for macs on Tahoe. I have had good luck...

    Lowrance HDS Issue

I have a HDS-10 Gen 1 and for the most part think it is a great unit. However once in a while, especially in rough water the units screen will dim down to the point that the image is barely visible...

    Re: Cold weather gear

I find that under armor in level 3 and 4 are very comfortable to wear and work very well. Not at all like the old long johns and thermals. Much more comfortable under waders than blue jeans.

It's bad enough that I couldn't get my fresh Uni for Christmas appetizers. He said the divers couldn't get out.

    Re: A Starwars Christmas

There is a house in Cameron Park, Eastwood section that is set up to follow the music. Pretty cool. Not quite as elaborate as this one but real cool. Thought the same thing about his neighbors.

Re: NEW! HDS Generation 3 Announced!

Some of you guys are missing the point. "He who dies with the most and neatest toys WINS!

I used to think like that, at least somewhat, now it is hard to even come up with a modest Christmas list...
  14. Re: Electric over Hydraulic Trailer Brake Systems

In some mountainous states surge brakes are illegal for the very reasons you mentioned. Electric brakes when adjusted properly are much better. The downside to electrics is that they are pretty...

Aww Heck, Let's stir the pot a little.

I agree that the GPS will be the most accurate speed BUT when trolling in moving water the lure to water velocity relationship is the number you need to work...

I have been running G Data for over a year now and it has done a fine job. Hourly updates and pretty much behind the scenes until you ask it what it has done.

    Re: important...new virus

I have had a number of these emails in the last 6 months. Fortunately my anti-virus software detects them.

A real FedEx or UPS delivery failure will leave a document on your door not an email.

I have a Lance's spiral salmon and a custom rod that I had made spiral on a 3wt fly rod. For trolling rods I think it helps load the rods better but honestly it isn't much difference. I don't think...

Try Harbor Freight. I have seen a bunch of different size aluminum tool cases that should work for you. You know the kind a traveling maintenance guy would carry. Way less than 200 bucks.

I was stationed at Ft. Bliss in the Nike Herc program. Used to fire off the Herc's at White Sands. Still looks the same.
