    Re: Ulterra on Seahawk?

Buddy has an 80# thrust minn Kota and the batteries barely last a day on the Sac river salmon fishing. He has a 21’ inboard jet boat, uses the kicker for thrust because he has to. It’ll work for you...

    Re: Ulterra on Seahawk?

Might be a better idea to go with the 36 V unit on a 21' boat.

The batteries tend to wear out on the 24V ones, even if you run the kicker as back up.

I would stick with kwiks or spinners now. Save the cut plugs for later in the year.

Wow, that's great to hear! Hope the trolling is good there this year, last year was tough but the year before was epic.

How's the snag situation in that stretch this year? That's my favorite area to fish.

Poor bite at Discovery park. A few fish caught for about 60 boats.
  10. Re: Wanted 8- 10 long shaft 2cycle long shaft motor

Stan, can't you keep the 4 stroke on your db? Slugging those motors on and off is a pain for sure,

    Best,

    Re: Sad day at Pardee

Heard about a father that drowned on the Yuba yesterday trying to save his daughter.

    Too many deaths lately.

    Re: Boat Buying Help

It's not too hard, a little more work if your trailer isn't registered (in Oregon some don't need to be). Get a bill of sale from the seller.

Re: Thoughts on this boat- as first fishing boat

NADA doesn't take into account local markets very well. Look instead what boats in your area actually sold for. CL is a good starting place, but like you said anyone can list whatever price they want.

Re: Aluminum Boats & Persons/Weight Capacity

Max hp and weight limits are calculated by standard formulas, according to a boat manufacturer I asked.

  19. Re: Remote steering and throttle control for a kicker

You adjust that manually with the tilt and tiller throttle. Works fine for trolling at a steady speed.

    Re: anchor type/weight

The "delta" isn't the Sac metro. On the Sac or American rivers the bottom substrate is large cobble (rocks). A fluke type anchor just isn't as good as the Columbia style in a rocky river like the OP...
