    Re: What Am I?

Wait, was it caught in CA????

If so, it might be a non-binary legless being that doesn't identify as a Oncorhynchus

Never seen anything like it. I think it is probably a rainbow with genetic pigmentation mutations. An oddity, a rarity, probably never see anything like it again.

    Re: What Am I?

Round spots say rainbow. If there were vermiculations (squiggly lines) or rosettes (circle with hole in the middle) its' color pattern might suggest tiger trout, but I don't see any. Based solely on my completely unscientific wild arsed guess......

    Pretty fish regardless.

    Re: What Am I?

Eliminating the obvious, it's not a brown, brook or mack. Not a golden-too many spots on the head to dorsal fin and the coloring is off. Rainbow-maybe, but seeing very little rainbow characteristics (some parr marks but no red or silver coloring really on gill plate).

My guess: Cutthroat. Spots and coloring look similar to some I have seen.

Either way, very cool looking fish!!

I think it is a very pretty trout. Otherwise, I have no idea what brand it might be. Lol.

    What Am I?

Caught this trout on the East Carson River on Monday. I believe it to be a rainbow with an interesting spot pattern. What do you all think?
