C'mon Wes...are we such fragile flowers here that "d***" is verboten? I doubt a grade schooler would get scolded for that word....LOL

And "elephant"....? Is that a reference to my weight problem?

I bought a pair of rubber simms a few years ago, ended up putting a carbide cleat kit on them and it helped some and worked fine on the coast where algae wasnt a big deal but back in the valley.. im getting a glue on felt kit cause it's still a bit of a slip n slide. Next pair i buy will be korkers i think so i can swap.

He has determined that felt boots work well and they're on sale, but he can't deny that California's general attitude toward climate change doesn't sit well with him. He has left room for intrigue here as the two points are seemingly unrelated....or are they.

Stefanflo questions the state of California's inability to establish a connection between the use of felt boots and climate change. Now he has added another angle of intrigue. He is making us think about it and connect the two points ourselves, if possible.....or not.

His intrigue on the topic is further intensified by his knowledge of cancer warnings displayed on other fishing gear, such as waders, which he has interpreted as a clear signal to not eat said waders or have sex with them. Again there is a blank here that makes you think...hmmmmm....the first thing that comes to mind is that perhaps he is fearful that his existing felt boot activities may need to be curtailed if such a warning shows up on felt boots one day....or maybe it won't.

His closing argument is that California must not be too concerned about climate change after all, because they have not banned felt boots and because they rely on water and weed (as engines of the economy, I presume) vs. other states that have banned felt boots because they rely on outdoor recreation for state revenue. One more time around the say-what-circle since we all know that the tech sector is what props up California's economy....or is it?

I would estimate that Stefanflo doesn't care much for Liberal politics, but he is stuck in California, which he perceives as a threat to his personal felt boot use within the state at some point in the future. He seems to be having a hard time accepting the notion that California is on his side in the felt boot arena.

Re: Rocksnot!!! Felt is not why it is happening

If not dried and cleaned properly, felt can hold onto creepy crawlies and transfer them between bodies of water. If, however, you clean them properly and let them dry out, they are perfectly safe.

    And damn, felt works well!
