Great looking fish, glad the kids got to play. Just remember guys try to not target spawning fish... If you notice your catching lots of fish holding full of eggs there's a good chance your fishing in their spawning run. Just looking out for our sports future so my future kids can someday enjoy it. Thanks for the post and tight lines - TO

Look at the rainbow spots on this one. Maybe a hybrid?

    Brownies trips

Took the kids up to play in the snow after the last storm Friday. Brought the poles just in case. Only fished for 1.5 hrs but we hit the water just as the sun was going down. Perfect timing. We landed 12 and lost many. 12in to 17in. Some fish were already spawned out and some still loaded with eggs. Today my kid had a min day so we went to the river again. Didn't catch as many maybe only landed six. But the grade was bigger. 14-18in. Water was a couple feet higher than last week.
