I recently replaced my boat. My replacement is a 2007 Harbercraft 1725. It currently has a Hummingbird Matrix 12. I will use it for the first time tomorrow so I will see if I want to keep this FF or replace it. I don't know if the Matrix 12 will accept a speed sensor but I will do a little research to find out. If I like the Matrix 12 and it accepts a speed sensor I just might do that.

Exactly, the times I've been fishing for striper or salmon on the sac.or delta,my mentors all went by the lure/rod tip action etc.first, an then we would note the gps an use it as a guide only!!!............

Still water, GPS all the way.

No sorry I didn't mean it that way at all. I just remember the last time the subject came up it got pretty heated and was trying to gracefully back out.

Seon, I've seen huge arguments about this and I don't want to start another one so you do it your way and I'll do it mine and I'm sure we'll both put fish in the boat.

Exactly and that's why paddle wheel is more accurate in the rivers, bays and ocean where current is present.
