Sac metro spinner bite 8-2-2016. Got very lucky. Naughty Flash spinner I got while volunteering at a veterans fishing event.

With you 100% on springer salmon tasting better, I love fishing the rogue River in the spring, the salmon are shaped completely different because they have so much fat.

I'd be down to meet up and learn a new way of salmon fishing, I'll save the roe I cured since I really don't know what I'm doing with it. Sending you a PM in a bit.

You guys like eating springers, you should taste winter run... Best salmon ever!

We got one last December on the Sac river; too bad we can't ID them and release as they are endangered. Kind of like a springer on roids in terms of taste, but they have pale flesh.

I like floating roe :). And its,a blast hooking them on the center pin but not in this high flow would break my Rod quick if I tried to stop them

Spinner eating mid size hen. Hands down the best salmon I've ever eaten. There's a world difference between an October fish and this thing.

Roe in the krill/tuna oil cure almost ready for tomorrow.

Just made some teriyaki and dill/lemon butter for the first lunch I've had in ages with my parents. Some roasted zucchini, eggplant and vegetable from the garden along with some basmati rice.

Other half is brining and gonna hit the smoke tomorrow morning.
