    Re: Confluence of the Yuba

Good report and welcome to the Sniffer!

Yes tons of weeds puking out of the Feather, at least it's not as bad as what is coming out of the American river (even more weeds) or the Sac (warm water).

Sounds like some salmon coming around the area you fished, might be another option for you next time if you can deal with the weeds.

    Good luck,
    Here they come!

Wow, that's crazy you couldn't get a bait bite out of all of that before the last move. Nice report.

    Confluence of the Yuba

Fished the confluence of the Yuba and Feather rivers. 59 in the Yuba and 63 degrees in the feather. Alot of seaweed made it difficult on the feather side. The yuba was crystal clear. Fished from the mouth of the yuba to the train bridge and back throwing S-waivers without any follows or strikes. Then fishing below the confluence with S waivers, cut sardines on anchor, live minnows (drifting and on anchor), chicken liver on anchor and even some good old fashion night crawlers. Couldnt buy a bite. Eventually went up stream a few hundread yards in the feather and ran into some schoolies and a rather large squaw fish. Just couldnt seem to find all these "23 to 26 inch limits" that were reported there this week.

Saw a few other boats. No salmon rolling although I didnt go down to Shangi either.

Best of luck to everyone else.

    Tightlines -LW
