Re: Anyone fish Lewiston in the winter? Other options?

Thanks for the updates. A little snow is a good thing in my book. Guess I'll head to Lewiston and may have time to do a little shasta then.

I fished Lewiston about 3 weeks ago and did very well, Shasta is also fishing great. I ran up to Siskiyou Friday but the weather was too snotty, I hear that is also fishing great.

Lots of rain and snow in the forecast so without 4wd pay close attention to conditions, I know the shoreline around Trinity got a dusting over the weekend and snow levels will be dropping this week.

    Shasta is a good option.

Anyone fish Lewiston in the winter? Other options?

I'm going over my options for a 3 day trout trip in the next couple weeks in Norcal. I was thinking Almanor but they're getting some snow this week and I don't have a 4wd so I'm thinking it may be iffy?

So looking at lower elevation options, I always liked the trinity-lewiston area but not sure how it fishes in the winter.

Just looking for recommendations and would be nice if I could do some kayaking as well.

    Thanks!
