Sounds like those 5 fish saved the day. Winds have made it tough to fish the bay lately. Usually the afternoon they pick up but today was small craft advisories. Wouldn't mind a few weeks or months with no wind. Good move to the cove.

    Berryessa 5/11

    • fished Berryessa launched from Capell at 6 a little windy early calmed down some and started to pick back up about 10 fished all the usual spots for no love by 11:30 tired of fighting the wind and started back towards the ramp trolled into an area that was a little protected from the wind to start putting things away then fish on trout about 16 inches made another pass and fish #2 end the day with 5 between 14 and 24 inches all came from the same spot in about 30 minutes water is starting to clear fish came on spinners at 15 feet with 100 - 125 foot setbacks they seemed to like the speed at about 2 on the GPS fish on this trip were not caught from a "usual" go to spot and had never really fished this area with all the water in the lake this year my need to start looking at other go to areas
