Re: Shore fishing at collins lake

Swim beach has always been the best shore spot for us. Of course as soon as the day use and swimmer start showing up that goes out the window, but we’ve only been to the lake one time during “peak season”

Re: Shore fishing at collins lake

I don't know if it is true but I have been told that fishing near the spillway when it is this high has been good in the past. Guys cast towards the spillway from the campground side. Right from that rocky corner where you can park. So not much walking needed. Now there will be so many guys casting there it will look like the outlet hole on the Feather during salmon season.
Swim Beach is where a lot of people do well also.
I always fish from my boat just like you guys do.

Like you all I do is fish from my boat
    anymore.
But I have fished up by the dam in
    past years.
Go to the Collins lake web page
    and read the fishing section.
