Waterdog: I have done well in the Past with them. The 1/4oz ones in All White (Body, Blade, Feathers) Also the Firetiger have done well up there!!! Crane Swivel about 4' in front will do just fine. Just find what speed you like. Run it next to the boat. Don't remember the speed i used to run... Getting Old. Lol Robbie

Trolling weights with a bead chain are you friend trolling spinners. 12# florocarbon leaders don't twist as bad and the trolling weight saves your mainline for the most part. Doesn't have to be heavy and you can speed up a little if you want it to fish shallower.
Fun part of trolling spinners is bass and crappie love them too, so it's kind of potluck fishing.

Yep I miss mine. I had to put him down last July and that's the reason I haven't duck hunting this year. But I may need to get one soon. Good looking lab BigUn you got a lot of good years ahead!!

One of my friends trolls them using trolling swivels to Ford Fenders with a 2 and 1/2 liter to a swivel and another 2 and 1/2 liter to a snap swivel. He swears by them but I have not tried it yet.

Swivel then another swivel, add two more swivels, and a swivel for good measure, lol. Line twisting machines they are!
