You and your wife are cool people to meet, great to see you at the October Pyramid Fest, your wife and I had a conversation about retirement, she was a very good person about listening. For me I like my Panther because it is the only company that fits my particular application of a Jet nozzle which fits my, engine separate of the kicker application.....Jetspray

Ask about the Python steering system with the key fob remote. I looked at the Panther T5 real hard before buying the Python. Installation is straight forward and if you can wire a FF you can install this. Pair your system with an ITroll unit and don't look back. TR1's are nice but I just can't bring myself to spend that much money.

I do tons of these, be glad to set you up. Be aware they arenít cheap though. Worth every penny according to every customer Iíve ever installed one for though.

Another option is put an electric MinnKota on the bow. If you need more power you can put the kicker in forward gear, lock it straight and steer with the MinnKota. Works great for fishing rivers and lakes.
    Here they come!

    Re: Steering with panther T5

My panther is totally manual with a cord, I wanted it that way. I would imagine you have a sender and receiver so both have a battery or electrical connection which could be weak. The controller itself could have dust or gunk around the keys or something under them. I have to replace my contollers from time to time due to wear and general exposure.....Jetspray

    Steering with panther T5

So this is what I got Iíll give a 3 out 10 pretty good can steer anywhere from the boat........if it was reliable
seems to stop working whenever it wants then works again by that time itís to late... spun around Actually very dangerous on river... the first one I got from them stopped working after 3 time using it. Called it in for warranty very poor customer service.. sent it in.. sent me new one said that the gears where plastic and the new version SS gears.. 🤔
for those that donít know t5 is basically fob key For steering on kicker (I have no steering wheel for kicker)

I could add second steering wheel for kicker donít really want to

what Iím really trying to do is add auto pilot

    This is is what have
    24í alumaweld jet boat
9.9 Yamaha kicker (not a tiller kicker) have throttle control front of boat (steering by panther t5)

Is there a way to have auto pilot and still have the fob key steering
    or add steering wheel

Iíve called 3 different places they keep pushing me to other people Iím in the Bay Area
nobody has given me a real answer

    done fighting this t5
