    Did hear report from Loon, tons of snow and the lake is still totally froze over. IH is snow free, I would assume Union is free as well.

    It will be mid May at least for Red and Caples. June for Blue.

    I was told this week that there is no access yet to Stampede.. by Truckee Ace hardware ....hmmm and Boca will get improvements just like Stampede did,
    Still no plow on the front of my truck to get there

    Red, Blue, and Caples Lakes

    With the rivers and streams being blown out for the next few weeks or a month how are the high Sierra lakes? Are they still covered with ice and are the roads open? I sort of think the roads are still covered with snow at those elevations but I haven’t been up there recently.
