Re: Caught my PB in SJ river... 2 days in a row! EPIC STRIPER ACTION

Went out saturday, started trolling SJ at 2:00, pretty quickly hooked into the first one. Trolled for a while catching fish after fish, most of them pretty good sized, when all of a sudden my rod just went down. The second fish WAS my PB, it was over 10 lbs. After a HARD fight I got it in and unhooked it for the release. Continued catching more nice stripers until sunset, and went in.

I went back out on the water today, the bite wasnt nearly as good. I hooked into a couple shakers early on, and was trolling an area where I don't normally catch a lot of fish on my way to another spot when my rod went down. Fought the third one for 5 or 10 mins, and finally got it on the boat. I caught the really big one on a pline predator ... with the back section completely broken off! Those things still catch striper even after they break.

All fish were caught on pline predators of various colors and patterns, trolled between 2-3 MPH water speed.

    All fish were released

Just realised.. first fish was from another day, trolling motor was on other side of boat! haha. I moved it a week ago to the same side as the fish finder. The first one I caught was similar to that one though! lol.
