I only have this Duckworth which took me a while to find the right boat to fish ocean, delta and lakes. More so in the ocean when crabbing, having to transport 8 large traps plus the family crew of 8. Couldn't do it with my previous boats.

BTW I also owned this Proline, three boats prior to my Duckworth. Was an excellent cruising boat but too pretty and not enough space for crabbing and fishing the ocean.

Sprinkled on and off all day but canvas top kept the crew and I dry. Hooked the first fish within seconds of dropping the downrigger but dummy me, tied the hoochie leaders with only 4# test and off it went right at the boat.
Crew and I must have caught over two limits but most came unbuttoned. I'm usually salt water fishing and this is actual the first time for me chasing Kokes on my own and they certainly "schooled" me on how to keep them hooked until netted .

Came home with three and wife just called me for Crab (trapped last week) and Koke dinner. Ciao

Not that dead for me yesterday, c&r 8 kok's up to about 16" or so and a about 4# bow, got the bow and most of the kok's around rose island and south, got a couple of kok's with the fleet at the spillway. Only thing that worked for me was a pink uv splatter spinner and dodger, hoochies did not work, only scent that worked was kok special. Had one kok roll on me even with a single barbless hook, osprey picked it up and headed for its nest. Best depth was 40-45', water is getting too warm for c&r now, gonna wait until fall. I was in a green north river with a gold stripe.
