Not dead, just pictures for most of them and then a release. Their air bladders are not bloated......Jetspray

Limp rods can work with a tight drag and smaller sharp hooks...............

however a medium heavy rod with at least 12 mono or Braid will help with hook sets
    with the bigger hooks.

For less net problems, I use a single hook on my lures, if possible, replacing the treble hooks.
My M2 lures have just the rear hook with a large split ring for center ballast.

    Tight lines.

Thanks for the tips Mr Ed. I did switch to a med. heavy rod and use 15lb. test line. It seems to helping in hook sets. One thing about the heavier rod though is being able to see the action on the rod tip with some of the lures I use, mainly spoons.

Mag Lips, M2s, Lymans no problems.

We need a break in the weather!!
