You folks are keeping the gas companies in business.

Its a big ocean out there. Never any guarantees, but a safe trip with a fish to clean is a day spent living the good life.

I ended up launching out of Berkeley and took me 3-1/2hrs to reach point Reyes then traveled west towards Cordell Bank. Thats where the charters and hot bite was at that day. We managed 2 keepers there and lost a few at the boat. Weather was really bad so we left around 11:30. We got lucky and managed to salvage the day at Duxbury with a few more keepers. Looking at the social media the charters found a new school close to home. Im thinking Pacifica area.

Got it. I'll be attempting to make that run on Saturday. I'll post updates on how we do.

    Re: SF Gate Salmon Reports

Ten mile river runs into the ocean north of Fort Bragg, and the beach/ocean area has the same name. Another Ten Mile Beach stretches from Pt. Reyes north towards Tomales & Bodega. If they're running out of the Gate, they're talking about talking about that one.

Kind of like Rock Creek. I think there are about 10 of them in the State.

Good luck, and let us know how you do.

Ten Mile Beach is up in Northern CA North of Fort Bragg. Are you referring to the stretch of beach on the north side of Point Reyes?

Which boat were you on yesterday? At least you got into the fish. Thanks for the update.

    Re: SF Gate Salmon Reports

Was out yesterday (Wednesday) on a charter boat out of the gate. We ran a LONG way to Ten Mile Beach. 3 hour tour. Bunch of SF charters and a few privates made the run. Bunch of commercials were on the scene also. Limited out in 3 hours, steady pick. Small grade of fish early then better grade later. If it was my own boat I'd launch out of Bodega.

Im usually on channel 68 Ill be heading out Saturday. Not very much information shared over the radio.... everyone is secret squirrel. More than likely ill be heading towards Duxberry unless I get a hot lead. Find me on the radio Salty Dawg lol
