    Alot of benicia shoreline and piers are pretty shallow. Stripers should be good anytime now. Crockett you can get to some deeper water off the pier or railroad tracks. Better chance for dino with stripers about but you will need heavy weight to keep you down on bottom. Fished both areas but had more success on Crockett side especially September-December. Usually throw ghost out. Benicia side still good with live bait and plugging swim baits.

    When fishing from piers/shore/etc., which general area is better: Benicia vs. Crockett?
