    Re: new to salmon

Pulled limits out of Bodega yesterday to 18lbs.

Speed 4 mph, lures that worked bait rotators and krokodile spoons (silver). 36" leader to dodger or in line flasher

Look for bait and birds and drop in. Fish have been deep most boats were targeting 120-80ft otw in deep water 230-300. Found ours closer to shore in 130.

    new to salmon

Pops and I are planning to take his 24' boat out of Bodega during the 4th of july holiday. He hasn't fished for salmon in about 20 years and I havent been out in open water since I was a kid. But we have the boat, downriggers, correct rods and reels and some tackle, along with my new prescription for the patch to keep me from chumming. Im hoping to get a few answers on fishing techniques to get us in the right zone.

what are the common color schemes? like kokanee, watermelon, pink, orange...

    what speed range?

leader lengths between flashers and cut plugs, hoochies.

    How do you determine depths?

what is the goto bait and scent for cutplugs?

    Thya
