Re: Has Berryessa turned on yet?

We went out to Berryessa today from early until about 11 am. Four in the boat. all pretty small (12"-14"). Two lost right at the boat. Also two large mouth picked up at 35'.

There were more boats out today than I'm used to seeing during the week. Not a bazillion and as far as I could tell, none were Brazilian! Haha

    Good luck and tight lines.

All the boats the I seen troll by that I did the hands up if they caught any fish and they hadn't got anything. Either liars or not anything. My buddy was trolling the shoreline between the narrows and towards spanish, he had a decent amount of hits but kept losing em. He's new to trollin on his own but said they felt like nice fish. He was targeting trout trollin about 2-3mph.

Re: Has Berryessa turned on yet?

I was just about to post a thread about it. It seems the koke bite has calmed down a bit. This is the first year I've chased kokes and was successful from a first timers perspective off of the big island. We caught 4 kokes and 2 trout. The kokes 13.5in to 15in and the bigger trout was 17. I chased the kokes a week later and picked up 1 15incher. I went out yesterday on late start by the narrows on the main lake side tryin for kokes and got 4 trout with 3 of em being over 2lbs. That was the first time i fished the narrows, i fished from 8 to 12. My other 2 trips were 630 to 12. Hope this helps.

    That sounds fishy to me.

    Has Berryessa turned on yet?

Just trying to get some update on Berryessa. Has the trout and Kokanee action been on fire yet?
    I haven't seen any reports.

    Thanks,
    Firetrout
