Straight out, longer setbacks, and deeper on the stern. Shorter setbacks, and higher on the side (90 degree) riggers. I like 10 feet between lines on each side...as an example, port side 10, port stern 20, starboard stern 15, starboard side 5.

    DITTO

I stagger my depths by 5'- 10' starting with the forward starboard side working clockwise to the forward port side.

There's nothing wrong with the way you're doing it if it works for you.

How are your running four down riggers?

I've got four down riggers and have been running the two rear ones out to the side and the two forward ones with the boom extended. The rear down riggers I run at a shallower depth than the forward ones. I've been seeing pictures of other folks running their two rear down riggers straight out the back instead of to the side. I've always been afraid to get the down rigger or lines caught in the prop by running them out the back.

    Thoughts?
