My neighbors quote for this was around $60,000. He has $20,000 in the well. He paid $9000 for an encroachment permit when his road had been there for 15 years. I am not sure how much a solar system adds to the cost but obviously it is not cheap.
How can you have affordable housing when you will spend over $100,000 in permits and added fees and that does not include the price of the property? I am glad I am not trying to build n California.
a neighbor told me his solar cost 17k, it provides just a little over what he uses. but he still has
to pay 80.00 a month because of the hookup of local power.

They always start off incrementally. First its solar panels, then it windmills, in the back yard, then all houses must have quadruple pained windows, then familys may be limited to one small 4 cylinder vehicle or an all electric vehicle and so on. We all know why they are mandating solar but its pseudo reasoning and pseudo science and its a further limitation on our freedom.
