Everything you say is true, and I never fished there for exactly those reasons. I don't care personally that they closed it.

Having said that though, I don't understand why DFW didn't just enforce the law in the basin. A warden with a pair of binoculars, a couple of others to make arrests/write citations, could have brought it under control. I used to see groups of blatant snaggers there, in broad daylight, not a warden in sight. What is it, maybe three or four hundred yards from the regional DFW office? I would have thought DFW would have taken it as a matter of honor to put a stop to the violations there.

We did one run with spinners from Discovery to Garcia and decided the weather was too hot and the fishing wasn't. Threw in the towel by noon. Next week will be better.

    Sacramento Area 9/25/2019

Trolled the Sacramento Area again yesterday 6 am until 3 pm. It was super slow. We managed one 7 pound male and lost one other fish.

The Department of Fish and Wildlife came by to measure our fish. They said it was less than a fish per boat. Still waiting for that big push...

    Water Temperature: 64
    Weather: Hot
    Lures: Cut Plugs
    Tide: Big outgoing
    Depth: 16 to 19 feet
