Your only problem was the Coors light 😎 next time TRY Budweiser and you will get limits.

Only way to catch salmon is time on the water. If you want lots of action fast, fish for spotted bass in Oroville.
Fisher of men first, fisher of fish second.

My buddy and I didnt have any roe to use but I did see one guide bouncing and they hooked up with something small at the end of the drift. He told me they had 6 among the 4 clients. They probably started up in gridley cuz I know where he launches. Every other boat looked they were anchored with flatfish or dragging spinners.
My biggest worry is that when I'm dead and gone, my wife will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it.

    Live Oak 9/28

Jus spent 10 hours anchored around the live oak area teasing the infamous king salmon with assorted kwikfish. Two nonstick takedowns at sunrise lead into a dull morning but luckily we had Coors Lt to keep our interest. At 1:00 the bite turned on, first female of the year finally some roe for the freezer. About 45 minutes later a first time for me.....Double hookup. My buddy and I landed 2 more hens after a bit of chaos but nonetheless a good day indeed. We had all kinds of colors and sizes with action so I couldn't tell you which colors worked best, just remember when your frustrated and worried if your doing something wrong that always worked before, your probably not. Be patient and more importantly be at the right place at the right time Tight lines boys and girls
