Re: Help on where to go for bass

I have been killing the spots at New Melones. Targeting bridge pilings at 30-35' getting into schools of shad with blade baits and jigs, or trolling shad raps behind the boat both did good for me last weekend.

Collins lake. Lots of spotted bass, easy shore access, and boat rentals.

Help on where to go for bass

Need some help as sort of new to fishing the area. Was hoping to take the wife to fish this coming Sunday for some decent sized smallmouth or other bass species somewhere that's not too far from Sacramento and has boat rentals or can be fished well from shore. Folsom has smallies but gets crowded and I hear boats are pricey. Was thinking Pardee?? Any help is appreciated.
