how do you like your steak

Waiter: What is your entrée, sir?
Diner: I would like the 10 oz ribeye steak.

Waiter: How would you like it prepared?

Diner: Kind of like winning an argument with my wife.

Waiter: very rare, it is, Sir.

    be safe

I pulled out a package of back strap from last year's buck and after thawing it out for dinner, I decided to cut half of it into tiny pieces and mixed with a little onion, Dijon, Worcestershire, and capers. Placed the mixture into a chilled bowl and cracked a fresh egg from our chicken coop onto the top of it and served it with crackers. Mmm, Bambi Tartare.

Me too venison, Bison, Elk, duck, but I draw the line with quail (I feed up to 200 during the winter, and many many more birds with all of my feeders). Nothing like the bounty from God's green earth...…..Jetspray

When it comes to steak I say moo me baby, moo me baby all night long. Oh wait, I was thinking of something else. Never mind. Just forget I said that.

Yeah, wipe it's arse, pull a match onto the meat and put it on a plate. I've had rare Harris Ranch prime rib and it was GLORIOUS. We eat in the bar at Harris Ranch. No kids.

I like my steak medium rare
with a baked potato with butter and sour cream
with a tossed salad with vinegar and oil and anchovies
all of that with a glass of red wine.

The best steaks I have had in my life were corn fed Iowa steaks that my grandparents had in their freezer. They had cows on the farm they sold and would butcher one and store half and sell the other half. Their farm was about 300 acres total. I remember those days and working on the farm, fond memories. As far as anchovies I love them and use the oil to mix with the vinegar to make the dressing or on pizza I drizzle the oil on the pizza and put on the anchovies when baking...…..Jetspray
