    Re: British Columbia salmon fishing

watch their seasons closely....they shut down salmon last year...not sure whats happening this year. Quite a few guys on our side motor over the line for their halibut....last year, here in Wash...we got a whole 11 days...the year before 6....the upcoming season holds promise for 30+ days of halibut....salmon is being cut back though...the orcas are eating too much so they're limiting our season...(sic)

there are a couple good fishing resorts on the west coast...one of them advertises on the fishing show down there...and some have self guided rentals available....hard to go wrong with the northwest side of the island....take a look at "Critter Cove" on Nootka Sound....you bring your gear, they provide a room.....boat in only....fishing is reported to be good...and there is a somewhat long distance access to the western shore they have boats to rent, guided trips or BYO boat

Great suggestions. Lived in Whidbey Island about 25 years ago (in the Navy), we trailered our boat across the border and loaded it up on the ferry to Vancouver Island. We then trailered it across to Tofino. Had a blast catching salmon and halibut. However, now living here in Central CA, just thinking of flying up to fish camp or something.

    British Columbia salmon fishing

If you had a week to spend salmon fishing in British Columbia, where would you go?
