I didn't see anything on the website, but just wish all the lakes with inspections would have some guidelines so that their staff would also all be on the same page. You talk to someone at HQ and they may say something different than the person doing the inspection.

Yeah that's the problem you get a different answer depending on who you talk to, Clean and Dry is Clean and Dry
Oh well guess I wont be fishing there, which is a bummer since the last time I fished it we brought 39 bass and crappie to the boat. Nothing under 2.5 lbs. Glad I took pictures for the memories!

Are they still quarantining out state boats for 30 days that was a couple years ago I was told this. I even went all the way to the EBMUD head quarters asking about having my boat inspected at Tahoe and then at Camanche. They told me it would have to go through a 30 day quarantine, even after passing the inspection on the most pristine lake in the US. Go figure, maybe they've calmed down since then.

Re: Camanche Boat inspections? lake advise

I've never been to Camanche on a weekend and don't think the person(s) who does the inspection is even there Monday - Thursday. And, not there early Friday mornings either. I only think I know this because every time I used to ask about getting a band they said the inspector isn't there except Fri, Sat & Sun. Maybe that has changed, I don't know.

So, same as previously posted, I just complete the one page form and they let me in. If you have the band, then you probably don't even have to complete the form.

PS: I complete one of the forms and Mrs Ldubs makes several copies for me. So I just hand them a photocopy and away I go! People at the gate when I've been there have always been pretty friendly.

I don’t know if Comanche will accept the Del Valle band or not but if you have to be inspected it’s no big deal. As long as your boat is dry including the live well (and you haven’t been to one of the unacceptable bodies of water recently) you pass, no problem. Most of the time when I get to the South Shore gate early in the morning there is no inspection. You just complete 1 page brief paper work and you are good to go.
Again the key is dry boat, no water in the live well and no water in the bilge and zero water comes out when you pull the drain plug.

They will accept that tag. I fished Pardee then a few weeks later went to Camanche with no problem. Hope that helps.

They don't care as long as the boat is dry. My guess is, they will be fine with it...Commanche is one of just a few lakes where they actually inspect your boat. They never have turned me away or sanitize me boat and I always show up without a band
