Re: If you could fish all year? Where and for What

I fish with light tackle for Trophy Channel Catfish and Trophy Sharks year round. Jan. to Jan. Then a couple times a year when my fishing itch needs to be scratched I'll go for a couple of hours to the Upper Middle Fork of the American River for Native Rainbows and Browns. My days of fishing the so called seasons or runs for a particular species are over.

Trout man here all the way, I did catch my first river salmon this year so maybe I'm moving on. ;D
The thing I like most about catching trout is that they are usually eaten and gone in a meal or two, then on to the next bite...hole....fish 8)

If the bass fishermen are a "one species" fisherman then the brown trout guys must be close on their heels, Krzy. (No hate mail guys, please 8)). I like fishing for anything that bites. I just like fishing for the sake of fishing. I catch my share of fish and I enjoy every moment of the experience. I may not be the best but I have a good time thinking I am. ;D

Spending the day on the water, especially with a friend, really is a good day. And it doesn't matter what the target fish is - it's all fun. 8)

Shallow water rock fish / lings off the No. CA coast using black bass weight tackle . Usually always good fishing , never sure what will hit next and the best eating fish there is ! Plus nice and cool in the summer .

    Tight Lines , Dan
