    Re: Sacramento River

Pretty sad when there are 2 and 3 million dollar homes damn near within view, and it's still not safe to leave your rig there at night.

Garcia bend has a locked gate at night. You can leave a vehicle there overnight if you want, but there's a good chance of vandelism. :-/

Try using sardine fillet's with a 3-4 oz weight. Cast deep and wait for a striper or a catfish to hit! Best place would be Garcia Bend or up Freeport.

    Re: Sacramento River

If you want you can go just south of Sac and launch at Garcia Bend, it's about a 5-6 miles up to the American from there, or you can just stay south and fish by Freeport, which is just south of the Garcia launch.

You can fish for Striper and Salmon there and the Striper have been being caught on Sardines, Pile Worm, Anchovies,

If you want to try some Salmon action you can try trolling with Silvertrons or Blue foxes, or work some Flatfish off the bottom, and they can also be trolled.

The Salmon action has been slow this week but that could change anytime, also the ramp at Garcia is free the ramp at Discovery is I think $8.00.. hope this helps

If you are looking for a day to "yourselves," you might wanna try anywhere but Discovery Park.
