    really my daughters mom just asked if I wanted some roe two days ago that was frozen and I said no. :-/ I didn't know it could be good sturgeon bait. :o

    i think it will be ok..i heard if you freeze it before it is cured that it busts the membrain and after cured it milks out faster,,but you don't use it cured for sturgies.i have always froze my roe before curing it for steelies.i think it doesn't stay on my hook long enough to wory about.i have had it in the freezer for almost a year before i thawed and cured it and the steelies eat it just fine. since you use it with no borax it should be good to go i would at least double zip loc or vacume seal it first.
    if you fish for trout you will catch trout!! if you fish for steelhead you might catch steelhead!!
