    Did it matter if you had a receipt or not? I had the same thing happen to me and I paid $100 for the replacement fee. In my case, I did not have my receipt.

    Might try shooting a PM to VicsCustomRods. He may be able to replace the guide for less than the warranty cost.

    Thanks for the response. I just wanted to see the ball park number for a receipt-less dobyns.

    I too have had the same problem with my dobyns swimbait rod. just haven't had a chance to get it repaired.

    however, my older dobyns rod actually snapped at the tip, i didnt have a receipt, took it to Hook Line and Sinker, and had it replaced with a newer model (not as good, IMO) for $100.

    I lost the receipt. How much do you think they'll charge to have it fixed then?
