Folsom 4-5 Smallmouth Hog by accident

So we headed out to Folsom to do some trolling for trout and kings. we get out on the water about 9am and head straight for the dam, the area was kind of crowded so we did a few passes rolling shad at 50 - 70 feet. No luck there so we decided to fish shallower areas for trout. we trolled along the levee on the lower right side of the lake with some wiggle hoochies behind a watermelon dodger and a Kastmaster on top water, hooked a shaker and let him go and continued on. once we got into the area where the water is only 9-15 feet deep in between shore and a small island, we thought we snagged a tree stump, but then.... the trees tump fought back!. this fish managed to tie up all 3 of my lines. finally we got it close enough to net and to my surprise it was a very nice smalley that attacked the Kastmaster! we took some pictures then let the fish be on its way. nothing else for the rest of the day but it made for a good memory!
