    Yeah, that makes sense, the big 'uns fattening on all those free trout steaks. But if I'm not gunnin' for the giants at this point, know any less pressured (maybe farther out) spots with easier pickins? Somewhere along the delta maybe?

    They are Giants for a reason, they are very hard to catch. not impossible though.
    These bay area lakes are highly pressured, makes for hard fishing. All these lakes that stock trout, are going to produce big bass.

    Aren't the giants in the main lake pretty hard to land, though? That's what some posters seem to be saying on some forums about Shadow Cliffs...

    back ponds are catch and release, you must use barbless artificial lures only. the main lake has giants in there and you dont need barbless hooks

    Back in the late 60's when I lived in p town we would fish all the ponds for bass an crappie,bluegill etc,the place was loaded,also hunted all over back there,shadow cliffs wasn't even on the drawing board then.....Don

    If you hit Shadow Cliffs, check the regs regarding the "ponds" behind the lake. I grew up fishing those ponds and there are some huge bass in there. I know they closed them to fishing for several years but I heard a rumor that they reopened then to C&R. Again, check the regs because Im not an expert and havent been down there in years

    and dont use the google map on the Sniffer home page because they loaded the wrong location.
