Seon and I met up at our usual place, and made our way to Bodega for a crab & cod combo trip, hopping for calmer seas than last Monday. On the way out I chopped some bait up (mmmmmmmmm smelled good) my fingers got cold and almost stuck them in my mouth to warm them up, NOT! There were some pretty good swells on the out side as we made our way up hill, but the further north we went the better it got. We set our gear further north than last week in hopes of better bounty. Ran a few more miles north for some rock cod. Used some shrimp fly’s with a little squid on them. I got a couple nice size blues, then those endangered Vermilion started hitting and had to move and things went cold for us. We were listening to the VHF and heard a boat saying they were on a hot spot for lings, so we went over there, and guess who

Cptn. Jack ( nice looking ride Steve) we switched over to jigs and got a few nice lings

After some bait fishing we headed back to pull our gear after a 3 ˝ hour soak. Pulled the first pot

It had 7 jumbos and a few smaller ones. Pulling the rest of the gear was about the same success with only a couple of these

We cherry picked to get our 20 jumbos and commercial grade crabs. Tossed back around 20 legal crabs.
Got back to the dock, cook crab, cleaned fish, and cleaned the boat.
Another fantastic outing in the books, Thanks again Seon!
