I usually decide where to fish the following week on Saturday or Sunday. I had wanted to fish mid week at Pyramid but by Saturday evening all the reports had wind, rain and snow so that was out. Monday seemed a good day and ICR has been doing well perhaps a day there or try Pyramid. I couldn't decide. On Sunday I got up and surfed the net. I checked Facebook and there was a sign.

I awoke early and by 0400 I was heading north on 395 for Pyramid. I arrived at Blockhouse before 0600 and fished until 1100. I hooked 7 and brought 2 to the shore. While it was still dark I hooked what I felt was a very large fish. For 5 minutes it held in deep water and rolled in the sand. Finally it charged the shore and I couldn't reel fast enough. When the slack was gone so was the fish. :'(. The two I did get to the shore were both nice males. The second was 25 inches and perhaps my best LCT of the year (so far). After fishing I toured around the south shore checking Rawhide and Popcorn. From the rock I noticed a sandy spit where there was some folks fishing. I don't know what it is called. It was a nice day.

The sign? The Pyramid Fisheries Facebook page had pictures of them dumping Pilot Peak Fish at Blockhouse on Friday. I saw no indication of them but a fisherman told me that he was fishing there Saturday and caught a 22 incher that was spitting up small tagged trout.
