Two wild Kings (21#, 16# (both OTS (on the scale) in two hours (5:30-7:30), 2 HNS, no LDR or SDR. I fished (solo), launched at Santa Cruz. I motored out in the dark at 19-22 mph. I trolled on my main motor at 2.5-3 mph. Cable baiter with a naked anchovy at 60' OTW. I used both downrigger balls today, 7.5 Kone Zone UV green on my rod downrigger ball, 4 Kone Zone Ghost UV on the non-rod downrigger ball. Anchovy gel on the balls & flashers. I needed bells on my rod tip, again, to detect the hits as I had to pay attention to the water and other boaters in the area. I motored in at 22 mph. I stopped off Natural Bridges in 60 water for an hour & caught/released a limit of rockfish, a baby white sea bass. I trolled for halibut for 5 minutes, caught/released another rockfish & put the gear away. 7 hours (5:30-12), 33 miles. One general area 36.50.562 121.59.659 300 water. Water 53.4*, very little debris , no jelly fish. Sunrise 5:52, % moon visible 95%. Santa Cruz tides: L 7:01 -1.6, H 1:55 4.0. Air 51-57*. Sky foggy, overcast. Wind W 3 mph, wind waves <2, W swell 2-4 @ 10 seconds. About 100 boats out today. Sounded like a fair day.
