Rock fish were small but plentiful , a few Lings. Salmon are deep due to warm water, we were Mooooching @ 100 ft. One fish per rod average up to 35 lbs. The New Sea Angler bring lots of $$$$$$$ LOL.

100ft indicates you were somewhere out by the red buoy, or were you guys outside of the MPA when mooching?

I would assume the charter boats know the regs....sometimes.

I am considering booking a trip next week on The New Sea Angler. I like the idea of the combo cod/salmon trips however, I have heard some negative things about the captain.

How was your experience? Would you recommend them? When you say "bring lots of $$$" what is that referring too?

Thanks for the info!

Bring all your own gear if you do. 10$ for trolling weights and 7$ for rockcod leader and weight. You are better off trying one of the Sausiluto boats. NSA is old. They don't bleed or chill your salmon.

If you like the idea of salmon and rock fish and don't mind spending a lot of money this trip is ok, but the boat is old, and the captain wants to get every dollar he can out of you. I don't think I would go again with The New Sea Angler.
