View Full Version : Giant Squid photo at 3000 feet deep

This photo just released by Japanese Scientists through National Geographic, shows a 25 foot squid homing in on a bait suspended at over 2900 feet. One of the tentacles broke off in the 4 hour fight that ensued. The scientists got over 500 photos during the fight.

I've watched that one a couple times. I can't get enough of that kind of stuff.

my roommate works on a scientific vessil. they pull up humbolt squid all the time (when the scientists wanna gut em to see what they been eating etc.) he says when the cook gets ahold of some its the best calamari hes ever had
