sat
got the kids up and got a late start around 9am
fished nautal bridges for 1 ling and some blues/blacks
and the wind got bad :-[ so went south to pleasure pt
and got 1/2 limits of grass rockfish and gopher cod in
the kelp beds along with the alot of shakers
and then went inside and took the trow net to
get about 3gals of fresh anchovies for later...

sun...
no kids to tired...lol
so I went to the bouy north of natual bridges and fished
60' for 1 ling and 2 nice reds. saw a skiff catch 2 salmon
while fishing for cods and they were about 12-15lbs in 70'
of water.. :o
then went north to davenport at 8am and fished the reefs up
there for another ling and over 20 small blue cods which
I threw back and ended the day with
2lings, 2reds, 1olive, 2chiles, and 5big blues....
lots of action all day, but no whoopers....oh well
cleaned the boat and fish, then cooked fish tacos
for dinner fell asleep and woke up to post this...
ps.

taking your kids fishing 40.00
loosing tackle 10.00
buying them snacks 8.00
having them clean fish.......priceless ;D

and the best part is they love cleaning fish...
all I do is the fillet part, and bagging
they cut the slabs out for me,
there faster than my friends...lol

having them clean fish.......priceless

I have only cleaned one fish in my life ;D and I didn't do it well ;)

My wife taught her oldest daughter how to do it, she taught her younger sister who taught her brother. He actually likes it, every fish is like a mini science experiment for him.

How is the launch at the Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor? If never launched my boat out of there and could use some advice. I've heard about the harbor mouth being it tough to get out or in sometimes. Thanks ::)

the ramp is a little ruff and you may need 4WD....LOL

includes wash out too....

this is a shot of the mouth and as you can see its a breeze
to get out and in...only in mid winter when big surf puts
sand there is there a problem and by then you don't want
to be out there anyway.....lol
