Today was my first day fishing in a year and a half. The things you give up for your children when they have a talent and passion. I hit Tuttletown at about 6:30. I set up on the other side of the cove on the ramp side. To the left of the last buoy. I got my first fish an hour in, that worried me since there were so many reports that there was a hot bite on. Many people were pulling out fish right next to the ramp, but that soon died out. Slowly I pulled 9 fish out (I catch and release). It took a few different combinations to figure out what they liked. I read that they were in love with garlic, but found out that they love trophy trout gel a lot more. I had many awesome bites, you can tell the holdovers are heading in as I had a really nice looking fish. It's colors were more brilliant than the rest. It seems they are attracted to chartreuse and white on a 24 - 30 inch leader. Tight lines everyone.
