I'm trying to get to Almanor at least once a week while this weather is so nice.
Arrived at 9:30am Temp 28 degrees, water temp 36 warmed up to 38 in the afternoon. Started off catching a couple small rainbows and released. Then caught three nice browns. The fish quit biting at noon.
Another calm day

A look to the north to Lassen. We need some snow!

Some ice floating on the surface

Today's catch. The largest brown was 22 inches.

Nice looking fish. Where you trolling or bank fishing?

I was trolling with speedy shiners and minnow imitations.

Almanor looks great, I haven't fished there in a long time. Glad you were able to bring in some beauties as well as able to hit the lake with little ice on it. I am just hoping for more water to come in to the system.......Jetspray
